New Cascade West Veterinary Hospital Opens, March 2010

In August 2009, Lippincott Construction Inc began construction of Cascade West's brand new 7000 sq. ft. hospital, which should be complete in mid-March 2010. The new facility is state-of-the-art with nothing forgotten! In the reception area we have a cozy, NW contemporary style, complete with a fireplace, a child's play area and an espresso vending machine direct from Italy for our clients to enjoy an array of drinks from hot chocolate to latte's. We will have 6 exam rooms, one with a hydraulic lift table for our large breed friends, a greatly expanded treatment area with a designated dental area, a critical and post-operative care area, and an isolation ward. We have kitty condos in our cats only ward - which will be much quieter! Our dog ward is sound proof to the rest of the hospital, and boasts 11 runs, and a full compliment of kennels. We have a large, outdoor, safe fenced area for dogs to run and stretch their legs. Should anybody need a bath, we've got a walk-in grooming tub. We have an imaging room with plenty of space to use our new digital x-ray equipment, and we now boast two operating tables to accommodate more surgery space. Our staff is very happy to have a true lounge for their break time. During construction we found a very large area upstairs that we didn't know we'd have! We've finished that space for our new client education center - and will be booking guest speakers and free events to teach our clients about important veterinary topics. We've added an indoor large animal treatment area, and remodeled one of the existing sale barns to include 6 large animal stalls, an indoor arena to lunge horses, additional treatment facilities to accommodate breeding and hospitalized large animals, and an area to treat cattle in particular. We are very excited to move to our new facility, and will be looking forward to our upcoming open house to share our new home with you!

Current estimate is that we should be in the new building and functional by March of 2010. Other news related to the construction is that we get to name the street that is adjacent to the property, so we are accepting suggestions. Cascade West Veterinary Hospital plans for new construction

Cascade West Veterinary Hospital has been in operation since 1942, when it started with Dr. Ritter. We are excited to announce the beginning of our plans to build across the street from our current location at 1210 South Gold Street in Centralia. Our new facility is going to allow us to grow and offer improved state-of-the-art services. Below are some renderings and plans of our new building to begin construction in September 2009.
